Week 10 :( What a great experience :) !

Going back nine weeks, I remember the first week when I was struggling to understand all the assignments.  I felt for a moment that I could not do it, but as weeks passed, I progressed, improved, and realize that when you have a will there is nothing impossible. Shortly, it was a great experience. I learned many new methodologies that will turn a teacher- centered class into a motivating student- centered one. Students are involved and worked enthusiastically. Their skills improved because they extend the use of English outside the classroom. Nicenet, blogs, delicious page, the interactive power point presentation, rubrics, and using activities and interactive exercises from websites are very interesting.  All these topics were so useful to me. I integrate some in my class and will integrate others in the near future. Moreover, all the articles and websites such as ANVILL were so beneficial and informative. With the use of technology learning and teaching English is more motivating and challenging from both teachers and students. The webinar we had with Jeff was informative and valuable, and cooperation and collaboration in our project report was a helpful experience.  All in all, even though the course was only ten weeks, I felt that I learned a whole year great experience. Thanks for Donna and her great work. I would like to thank all my colleagues for sharing their experiences and for their cooperation. It was a pleasure working with them all, and I wish we will keep in touch. Best wishes for all!
Regards,

Can't believe that week 9 is over!

Multiple intelligence classrooms are controversial issue. Howard Gardner has identified different intelligences such as Verbal Linguistic, Logical/Mathematical, , Musical/Rhythmic, Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, Naturalist, and Existentialist. Teachers find it difficult to motivate and benefit different students with different intelligences. Knowing different learning styles help teachers to cope with different students and using technology facilitates this mission. There are different activities on various sites for different intelligences. Therefore, technology helps teachers to integrate different activities to capture the attention and enthusiasm of different learners.

In addition, we submitted our project reports which were the consequence of our plan and work throughout the course. We used our partners’ comments to improve our reports before submitting them. I would like to thank Eman and Bin for their comments and help. I would like to end my post by wishing all a great week ten.
Regards,
Karen
